Lillian (Riccio) Jabs, 90, of Bristol Connecticut, passed away on October 4th.

Mrs. Jabs was born and raised in Meriden, CT, then moved to Bristol, CT where she and her husband George Jabs (predeceased in 2000) raised their two daughters Dr. Kathy Jabs of Nashville, TN and Donna (Jabs) Roche of Franklin, MA. Lillian was an administrative assistant at Gavlik Industries, Bristol; Carpenter Construction, Bristol and UConn Medical Center, Farmington before her retirement in 1988. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, George, she is predeceased by her 9 siblings (Lena, Mary, Leonard, John, Emma, Vera, Walter, Edith and Mildred). She enjoyed trips to Malaga Spain with her husband each winter for many years; as well as being a devoted Nana to Meghan and Alexander Roche of Franklin, MA. She enjoyed all of the school and sporting activities of her children and grandchildren. Never a holiday was complete without her Italian cookies. After her retirement she filled her time baking, knitting, rug hooking and making Halloween costumes along with many trips to Massachusetts to be with her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday October 9, 2013 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
