Cecilia M. (Beaudoin) Roy, formerly of Benson Rd., passed away Thurs. Jan. 24, 2013 at Dodge Park Rest Home in Worcester. Her husband Joseph R. Roy passed away on August 29, 1986. She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Hunt and her husband Richard of Brimfield; 2 sons, Ronald Roy and family of Natick and Kevin Roy and family of Austin, TX; 2 sisters, Loretta Lamontagne of Prescott Valley, AZ and Ann Marie Lariviere of Sun City, AZ; 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Henry Beaudoin of Prescott Valley and a sister, Jeannette Aube of Weathersfield, CT.
Born in Sutton on June 28, 1922, she was the daughter of George and Angelina (Martineau) Beaudoin and lived in Uxbridge for many years before moving to Whitinsville in 1972. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School and worked at the Manchaug Mill as well as the former Whitin Machine Works as a spindle grinder. Cecilia was also a hairdr! esser for several years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Whitinsville.
Her funeral Mass will be held on Fri. Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Dodge Park Rest Home for their patience and care of Cecilia.
