albertUntitled-120x150Albert E. “Ned” Adams, 81, died Friday, September 11 at the Jewish Healthcare Center. He leaves his wife of 24 years, Ruth E. (Bengtson) Adams; four sons, Thomas H. Adams of Wilbraham, James E. Adams and his wife Grace of Worcester, David S. Adams and his wife Lyn of Seattle, WA and Jonathan W. Adams of Western Massachusetts and two granddaughters, Shelby and Lydia Adams. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Lincoln and Grace Simmons.

He was born in Providence, RI the son of Albert E. and Lillie R. (Wilde) Adams, graduated from Barrington High School and the Rhode Island School of Design. Ned worked at State Mutual Insurance Company for 25 years and retired as Manager of Advertising and Sales Promotions in 1987. He also worked at Technical Display Company in Shrewsbury. He was an avid hunter and a distinguished expert in shooting skeet. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast, an artist and illustrator.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 14 in Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in All Faith’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, September 13 from 2-5 PM in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins St., Worcester, MA 01607, Mass Audubon Society, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773 or to a charity of one’s choice
