Health-Benefits-Of-Walking-300x300

Check out these recent findings from the field of medicine.

Scientists seem to discover more about how to stay healthy every day.

Three new exciting developments in health

• Peppermint. Some studies suggest that peppermint oil may be useful in relieving irritable bowel syndrome, whose symptoms include abdominal pain and cramping, bloating, constipation, and diarrhea.

• Walking. The benefits of regular, brisk walks are well known, but researchers in Spain say that women who walk for three hours or more a week are less likely to suffer strokes than those who don’t walk at all, doing even better than women who engage in other high-intensity workouts throughout the week.

• Yoga. Breast cancer survivors dealing with fatigue caused by chemotherapy and radiation may find relief in yoga, according to physicians. One study found that two weekly 90-minute sessions of Hathe yoga helped survivors gradually regain their energy and mental alertness, and also appeared to help them sleep better.
