Gerdaline L. (Grosvenor) Anderson, 86, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Monday, October 26 at home surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Richard H. Anderson, died in 1999. She leaves a son, Richard H. Anderson Jr. of Roswell, New Mexico; two daughters, Verna J. Reidy of Worcester, with whom she lived, and Glenda L. Johnson of Concord, N.H.; a brother, Chester K. Grosvenor of West Boylston; a sister, Lucille Burdett of Gardner; two grandchildren, Meredith Benkirane and her husband Mehdi of Framingham and Nathan Johnson and his fiancée Alison Luneau of Burlington, VT; two great-grandchildren, Aden and Kian Benkirane; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, David Grosvenor and two sisters, Gladys Dodd and Constance Grosvenor. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Chester K. and Bertha L. (Clark) Grosvenor.
Gerdaline and her husband owned a wholesale flower business in Shrewsbury, where they lived for 35 years. They later lived in Ocala, FL and Franklin, NC. She then moved to Concord, NH. She was a member of the social club Young At Heart and the Sunset Travel Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration honoring her life on Sunday, November 1 at 1:00 p.m at Coral Seafood, 225 Shrewsbury St, Worcester. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, is in care of arrangements.
