Dodge Park Rest Home and Oasis at Dodge Park Celebrate
September 15, 2017 – Worcester, MA. – On a sunny, late summer day, close to 400 colleagues, friends, employees, local dignitaries, partners and family members came together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dodge Park Rest Home and the Grand Opening of The Oasis at Dodge Park.
Ben Herlinger, co-owner of Dodge Park and the Oasis at Dodge Park opened the festivities welcoming everyone who had gathered and then moved on to dedicate the new Oasis facility to Ellen Flinter, a friend, mentor and former Regional Manager of the Department of Public Health. Ms. Flinter’s family members joined Mr. Herlinger for the dedication. Mr. Herlinger commented, “Ellen was a special person and we are forever grateful for all she did to help us.”
The speaking program included Senator Harriette Chandler, Worcester Mayor Joe Petty, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Tim Murray and Denise Thomas, Program Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association. Remarks included comments on the extraordinary new Oasis facility, the level of care provided to residents of both properties and the impact of over 125 new jobs in Worcester.
Guests were entertained by local music star Dale LePage and his band. The food provided for the event was prepared by the culinary staff at the Oasis who took on the challenge and used it to showcase the range of food available to residents at both facilities. “Food is an important factor in helping our residents feel at home in our facilities’” said Micha Shalev, co-owner of Dodge Park and the Oasis at Dodge Park.
“Our staff is outstanding and always ready to prepare a variety of menu items to please our residents, he added.
Mr. Shalev closed the speaking program by saying, “We are very proud of Dodge Park’s 50-year tradition of excellent care and we are extremely proud of the newest facility, the unique and bold sister property, the Oasis at Dodge Park.”
Dodge Park Rest Home is for seniors who need help with the activities of daily living and want the convenience and peace of mind that a secure setting can provide. It also offers an Adult Day Care program, Home Care services, Alzheimer’s and Dementia care and a free monthly Support Group.
This year, Dodge Park was selected as a “Caring Super Star” by Caring.com. Nationwide, there are only 67 Caring Super Stars in 2017, making Dodge Park Rest Home one of the top senior living communities in the country.
The Oasis at Dodge Park provides Dementia and Alzheimer’s care in a state-of-the-art, luxurious and safe environment. Opened in 2017, the memory care program at the Oasis promotes activities to stimulate the mind and body, helping individuals maintain the highest quality of life possible.
