Mary Jane (Pierson) Howd, 85, formerly of Auburn, died on Wednesday, March 3rd in the Dodge Park Rest Home.
Her husband of 46 years, Flourzel J. “Buster” Howd died in 1994. She is survived by a son, Frank L. Howd and his wife Roberta of Tolland, CT; a daughter, Deborah A. Digiovanni and her husband Francis of Auburn; four grandchildren, Carol Digiovanni, Christopher Fuller and his wife Karen, Rachel Axler and Frank Howd III; two great grandchildren, Charles and Michael and many nephews and nieces.
Mary Jane was born in New Britain, CT daughter of the late Earl and Enola (Williams) Pierson and is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. She worked for over 30 years as a technician on gyroscopes for guided missiles for the Timex Corporation which later became the Bendex Co. and retired in 1986.
Mrs. Howd often attended the knitting club at the Town of Auburn Library.
Funeral services are being held privately at the family’s convenience and handled by Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond Street.
