I have had a lot of work experience in the business world,
from administration to garment design, all at an aggressive pace to make good
money. I did not want to go back to work
full time is such a cold atmosphere where someone steps up on your head to take
the next rung on the corporate hierarchy.
This job at Dodge Park is a perfect fit.
I grew up in the beautiful Catskill Mountains (Upstate New
York), littered with magnificent resorts.
This was the perfect setting for the grammar school of activities
management! If you saw the movie “Dirty
Dancing”, you could see the glamorized life of people hired for
entertainment. In the movie, it was just
a job. At Dodge Park, I watch how I
affect every individual. I have become
passionate striving to make everyone happy.
Here is one of my favorite stories so far:
I have had the fortunate opportunity to meet Isabelle in my
art classes. She taught me that you can
lose most of your eyesight, your dexterity, your hearing and still strive to
create. Her perseverance amazes me. She travels around the craft area to see
other projects and get inspired. She
creates from her own ideas and sweeps off with intricate projects. She will break out into a sweat and still
have the tenacity to get the project done.
I tell her over and over that she inspires me. I am an artist that feats the worst thing
that could happen to me is to lose my eyesight.
Isabelle has proven that my life would not be over if that ever happened. I can still create!
